Statistics

At school I have been learning about statistics. I am currently at the Multistructural level on the SOLO matrix, because I know what the mean, median, mode and range is and I also know why interpreting the data is important.
The mean is when you add all of the numbers together and then divide the numbers by the amount of numbers. For example the mean of 35, 45, 80, 25 and 65 is 50, because 35+45+80+25+65=250 and 250/5=50.
The median is the middle number of a list of numbers that are in order. For example the median of 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 is 30, because 30 is in the middle of the 5 numbers.
The mode is the number that occurs the most. For example the mode of 20,15, 80, 80, 70, 60, 80 and 30 is 80, because 80 occurred 3 times and the other numbers only occurred once.
The range is the difference between the highest number and the lowest number. For example the range of 2, 5, 8, 9 and 12 is 10 because 12-2=10.
Interpreting the data is important because when you find the data you need to know the information the data tells you and you to be able to explain the information the data tells you to others.
My next step is to find the data for our school's flag vote. Then show this in three different graphs.
